Co-Producer

Gene was an Emmy Award-winning Co-Producer on the film The First Wave, a documentary directed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Matthew Heineman (Cartel Land, Tiger) for National Geographic, Participant and Neon released on Hulu. For the film Gene spent hundreds of hours embedded in New York ICUs while the city was the epicenter of the global Covid-19 pandemic. The First Wave won Emmy awards for Best Documentary, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
